Vineyard & Terroir
La Tâche is a Grand Cru monopole entirely owned by the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The vines lie on steep clay-limestone slopes with ideal southeast exposure. Biodynamic farming, very low yields and vines often older than 50 years contribute to extraordinary concentration, purity and complexity.
Winemaking
Harvesting is done by hand, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts and an extended maceration. The wine matures for approximately 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels, typically new, refining its structure and texture. No fining or filtration is carried out, ensuring that the full character and intensity of La Tâche are preserved.
