Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé 2024 – Provence Rosé 750ml | Legendary Provençal Rosé
Bandol Rosé 2024 – Vibrant, Herbaceous, and Saline
The Bandol Rosé 2024 from Domaine Tempier is one of the most iconic Provençal rosés, crafted from 55% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, and 20% Cinsault. This rosé comes from certified organic vineyards, ensuring maximum purity. The 2024 vintage has been highly praised by critics – 94 Vinous points and 93 Parker points. It reveals intense aromas of Mediterranean garrigue and citrus, complemented by delicate floral notes. The structure is refined and elegant, with graceful salinity reflecting the terroir’s minerality.
Vineyards & Terroir
The vines grow on the clay-limestone hills of Bandol, under a warm and breezy climate. The surrounding garrigue imparts a unique aromatic signature. The average vine age is around 20 years, ensuring optimal maturity. Yields are carefully controlled, and harvesting is done entirely by hand.
Winemaking & Organic Approach
The juice is obtained through direct pressing (65%) and saignée (35%). Fermentation begins in stainless steel and concrete tanks. Aging lasts 6–8 months, split 50% in stainless steel and 50% in concrete. The estate follows a certified organic approach, with no synthetic inputs.
Tasting Notes
Bright salmon pink color. Aromas of grapefruit, Provençal herbs, pomegranate, and white flowers. The palate is lively and juicy, with bright acidity and saline minerality. Long, elegant finish. Excellent aging potential.
