Chartreuse V.E.P. Jaune 2022 (V.E.P. = Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé) is the ultra-exclusive, extended-aged expression of classic Yellow Chartreuse. Made from over 130 plants, roots, flowers and spices, this 2022 edition matures for many years in large oak demi-muids, developing exceptional smoothness, aromatic depth and herbal richness. Bottled at 42% ABV, it offers a refined, mellow and complex digestif experience.
Heritage & Rarity
Created in 1963 as a special long-aged cuvée, the V.E.P. line is produced in very limited quantities. Each bottle is individually numbered, sealed with wax over a cork stopper, and presented in a wooden box—making the 2022 release a highly collectible item.
Production & Ageing Process
The liqueur begins with a maceration and distillation of the 130-plant recipe, followed by blending with sugar and water. Select batches are then aged for many years in oak demi-muids, allowing the spirit to mellow, gain roundness and build layers of aromatic complexity.
Tasting Notes
